If you want to be sure you don't ride alone, just check the following topics:
http://www.kitehigh.nl/forum/index.php?topic=21950.0 for Leiden en Den Haag
http://www.kitehigh.nl/forum/index.php?topic=23915.0 for greater Rotterdam
A lot of us kite either at the south point of the Maasvlakte (strand slufter, or "Da Sluf", "Sluf", "Sluftah" - I think you get it ) and Oostvoorne at a beach formerly known as "autostrand", now more oftenly referred to as "Playa", "Voetstrand" "Carplaya" etc.

If you want to be even more sure, just post a message here asking when and where people are going.
Good luck, cu out there,
Rudo

BTW didn't you post something similar on Hanglos a while ago?

Oh I forgot to mention that kiting at the Sluf will be over for a period of 5 or so years in a couple of months from now due to a major reconstruction of the Maasvlakte, it's said June but it might be later than that.

Thanks guys.
El Rudo, yeah it was me on hanglos, i think it was Dave who suggested this site.
Definitly look forward to getting back in the water. Thanks for the tip about the spot, didn't know they will close it off this soon.

See you out there
Michiel.

usually I dislike postponing but the start of the reconstruction can't be postponed enough!
I don't know if Dave recommended this forum, or if he ever would, I think it was me hehe.

El Rudo = Peter R. de Vries  schater

Master in reconstruction  Grin

That motherf*cking small room filled with white china and all kinds of shit is finished for me. Some paiting still to be done, but that is not my job!  Cool

So I am finished, no wind. And even worse, there is still no forecast that it will change in a week  :'(

What about the signals? Should be universal, but never huts to check if something different is used here in Holland.
Kite release during launch only after "thumbs up"

Tap on the head or "thumbs down" for landing

And the usual higher up wind - kite up, lower down wind - kite low road rules when passing one another?

I wish people would understand these signals here. Sometimes people do not even wait for you to give a signal to launch. Better is to ask the person who will help you in advance to wait for a signal.

The passing rule is correct! Applies to the spots here as well.
